Default over heating

Im back forum!
I been rebuilding 4.0 since may,Ive been on here a few times with questions.
You all have helped alot, being its my first straight 6 rebuid.
Im overheating on a 1993 jeep cherokee 242, I have radiator in rear because its a mud bogger with a turbo
I had radiator in rear before and had no problems,I put new 195 thermostat in it and only thing i really changed in total rebuild was a better cam
I notice my water pump has no seep holes on it that i can see to tell if pump is bad and i have no way to tell if water is circulting because of the way water fill is on radiator
Also i eliminated heater core
Question is there a good way to check circulation
Should i change thermostat temp
Any input would be greatly appreciated

If I had to guess I'd say you have air trapped somewhere in the system.

The fill cap has to be the highest thing in the system and no kinks to trap air on the way to the radiator and at least 2000 cfm on the efan

What you're saying sounds reasonable, but I've seen it happen.

My best guess too.

OP, put it on ramps or park it uphill and remove the radiator cap and try adding more fluid. Also, a product like this helps a ton with 4.0s:

OEMTOOLS 87009 No-Spill Coolant Funnel Kit OEMTOOLS 87009 No-Spill Coolant Funnel Kit

I've never had a problem with trapped air since I started using this kit.
