Default overhead console

Looking to get one but before I do does my 97 xj come with a factory connection under the headliner? I have a 97 Se model. I don't wanna rip it off just to check.. thanks !!

I own a 2000 SE and did not have the connection under the the headliner.
The plug for the overhead on mine was on the passenger side by the junction box.

No you don't, mines a 97' se also and it doesn't have me lol got to pull the wiring from another. Connectors I'm not sure what year will work as 98' + they changed a lot of the connectors. But I know 91'-96' they have the same as we do

I believe that the majority of the jeeps have the connections under the dash like your 00. But I also know that some do have the connections all the way to the head liner.
