Overhead console plug

Overhead console plug
So I was trying to put in an overhead console on my 97 xj, but the plug I have doesn't have enough pins to match the console? The console was off a 2000 xj limited. Is there some sort of adapter I could purchase or a part number for a corresponding plug? I appreciate any input thank you.

Did you get the bracket and wiring harness from the '00 with the console? Going to need to repin the bigger connector with the one from yours on the '00 harness where it goes down in the fuse box. If you got the harness did you get the visors too? The '00's have a 2 wire set up up. Power and ground. '99 and down have a one wire set up. Power with the ground being internal. I have not done the job, but have done plenty of research, yet but am putting a '99 overhead in an '00 and somethings are different to make it not exactly plug and play.

Once the weather breaks here I will do a test run. I already repinned an '00 connector to the '99 overhead harness. Figure I will disconnect the battery, plug everything in, and see what happens. If everything works as it should will go forward from there. Getting the '99 visors redone, the '99 overhead console headliner redone, I have a guy, and remove the dome light setup, remove the dome light bracket, screw or rivet in the overhead bracket, and reinstall the overhead pieces. I decided to spend the money on redoing the overhead headliner instead of cutting holes in my dome light one. What can I say? I have commitment issues. Don't forget the ambient temp sensor up front.
