Default Overheat

Okay so i was driving things were fine stopped had the truck off for 5 min guage light cam on and my temp was all the way up let the truck sit for hours went to drop my girl off shot right back up put the ac on dropped to 210 then went back up and shot back to 210 again im pretty sure its my thermostat but it may be the water pump antifreeze is brown and sludgish no oil in it flushed a couple months ago along with a new pump and thermostat all helps appreciated

I know we say this so many times on this forum, but you probably have either a cracked head and/or a blown head gasket.

I dont see how so oil is not milky wht so ever and the truck runs fine no smoke out of the exhaust nothing

It's blown into the cooling system/water jacket.

That's where the brown junk comes from even after flushing.

Grab a cooling system combustion gas test kit if you want to verify it.
But yeah, if the coolant was just changed and it's muddy again + you are overheating, I think you know what you'll find.

My interpretation is.....u suspect the 2 new/recently replaced parts......why?

Well had a buddy whis the mechanic for my fire dept look at the truck today after i flushed and replace the thermostat again turns out my head gasket is not blown i have poor next to no circulation running through the radiator being it is all clogged up biggest sigh of relief ive had all day lol

Good deal, but you probably want to look at a new radiator then- or go the poor man route and pull it out, and take a garden hose to the lower hose and try to clean it out

And it is clogged again after only 2 months?

Yeah, that would keep the radiator from flowing all right.

The main question is, WHY is the antifreeze all brown and sludgeish--again?

This isn't the radiator's fault.

Perhaps someone put some radiator stop leak in it. That stuff is a pain to get out and takes several upon several flushes to get out.

When i flushed the truck out again i flushed the radiator the block and the heater core alll the brownish and garbage came out of the heater core

That stuff gets caked in there and takes a few heat cycles to break loose again

Well finally got to the bottom of my problem i replaced my radiator didnt fix it thermo didnt fix it took the water pump off and all of my fins on the pump completely gone popped a new one in filled her up and tadaaa !!! No overheat temp sits right where it should be thanks to all for your help well appreciated !!
