Default P0432 code but cat looks good visually?

Hello!
I took my 2001 4.0 with 287k miles, to get it smogged, but found out that there was a P0432 code being thrown (the CEL was burnt out!). I did some research on the possibilities this code could have been, checked the bolts that hold the cats to the exhaust manifold, and they were tight, so proceeded to order a CARB compliant set of cats. After quite the fight to finally remove the bolts, I looked inside, and they both look great! This is the offending/rear one:

is it possible that this cat could still be bad, or am I stupid for ripping them out when I could’ve just needed one or more new O2 sensors?

Thanks for any advice!
