Paint questions for you savy, smart and informed guys & gals
Is there an information source for XJ paint and upholstery color names and color codes ?
I'd love to know the official correct paint for the steel wheels and black bumpers and wiper arms on my 95 ?
IIRC when the 95's were new the bumpers weren't gloss black or flat black. Maybe Semi gloss ? Matte? Satin?
So far I've figured out the body is "Bright White" and that's as far I've got.

I dont know what the factory codes are, but for the black trim like bumpers and windows and even the wipers, Duplicolor Trim Paint. Its a satin and comes in a green can. The finish is just right, imo. Used it on the bumpers and fender flares on my 97. Duplicolor Trim and Bumper paint is another option, but never used that tho. Might be the same stuff in a different can, dont know. Dont know what color code the steel wheels were, but just looking at cap colors, assuming you re talking silver wheels, VHT Chevy Rally Silver or VHT Ford Argent Silver look close compared to the 5 spoke steelies on my 97. Duplicolor makes wheel paints, too. Lots of options out there.

I always keep one of those little aerosol cans of the bright white to touch up my ole girl... One of the many reasons I love my old jeep... Be honest, I don't think there's many if any other vehicle that touching up random chips, etc, look just as good using a spray can.
And some days... wish she was factory fresh with no blemishes.... other days... the few small dents are like a badge of honour.... so you know she is NOT a mall crawler or trailer queen.
