passenger front window fell into door
I have a 2000 xj, and my front passenger window started to close slower and slower not too long ago, when all of the sudden it stops and decides it wants to fall down into the door. Duct tape is doing the trick for now, but is this a cheaper fix than buying a new regulator? They're about $120 from any parts store near me and I need this fixed by tomorrow. Any advice would be awesome

You could get a regulator from the JY. You could also do what I did the first time it happened to me. I took the regulator out and took it apart, drilled two holes in the metal bracket piece that attaches the worm gear to the window and used cotter pins to secure the bracket to the worm gear.
There's a write-up I'll try and find it.
It worked great for me for about a year, but it fell out again because I drilled the holes too big and the pins had some wiggle room, eventually wiggled out.
