If you go to www.greenfilterusa.com, they make a re-useable filter similar to a K&N.. but it is made of recycled material and the cleaner solution is enviro friendly.

The PN for the filter is G512004 for 87-96 XJ's, dunno the number for 97+

I thought 4.56 was the best alll around gear?

I was looking to get the Rusty's AAL 3"lift, but after reading up on stuff, I ended up getting a Zone 3"AAL. I have it, just haven't installed it yet, I think this weekend. But, it was free shipping, and the quality is very good, I'm inpressed! Other guys from this forum have bought from them also, and I haven't heard any bad.

And Best of ALL: IT MADE IN THE USA!!!!!! (except the leafs, canada)

okay so what transmission do you have?

if it's trail only go straight to 4.88's.

as to 4.56 being the best all-around gear, this is not true when talking about the automatic aw4. it has a higher ratio in overdrive than the ax15, therefore you want to go a gearset deeper.

4.88's with auto at 65-70mph and 33" tires puts you at right around 2600rpm. likewise, 4.56 with 5 speed puts you right around 2550 rpm.

RE: TB, there is a forum member (I forget his name) that offers TBs bored out. If I can find his name, I'll post it, and a link to the thread, but someone else might know for now.

i still think a hi flow cat is the most effective performance mod. good on fuel economy too. Doing anything to the airfilter is a waste of time and money. with the dirdiest stock air fillter you wont be able to measure any negative pressure at wot (before the throttlebody).
