OK back onto the original question. Most Cherokee's without HD springs are flat if not inverted a little, whoever came up with the idea to make a weak a$$ 4 leaf pack for the Cherokee should be hung. I had an issue with it to and made a Bastard pack out of the springs from another Cherokee and an AAL that came with my lift kit. What i did was take the 2 longest springs from the other XJ pack, cut the eyes off and stacked those into the original pack, then pulled the bottom leaf out and replaced it with the AAL. Now I have a 6 spring pack that isn't too stiff, but is alot tougher than the stock pack and gained about 3 1/2 inches doing so. If your trying for lift in the process, everybody talks about using the s 10 and dakota springs (with the eyes cut off the top spring) because they have a better arc, I really can't say cuz i haven't gone that route, but I've heard it enough to say it's common.
On the hockey puck issue, I'm with most of the others, that is not a safe fix, temporary or not, and by using unsafe practices, you run the risk of giving Jeepers a bad name. Hope your not running a sticker for this forum on it too, would make us all guilty by association.

GOD
I want to comment so bad....
(not that he has anything to do with this..well..everything I guess)
Just know that that anyone with such a stupid warped sense of reality will and never... be excepted here on my Island.
O P here is your thread back. I'm sure your Jeep will look good with some fresh springs. It should give you a nice stock ride height, but all so be a harsh bumpy ride. I would consider installing new coil springs up front to compliment the rears and to equal out the suspension. New shocks couldn't hurt either.

They also offer 3 different spring rates for OEM replacements. Std. w/ 4" arch, Heavy dty. w/ 5" arch. Offroad pkg. w/ 6.5" arch (Offroad pkg. w/ 6.5.arch was used on the "Up Country Suspension" giving about 2" lift. But need different shocks)

Not the safest idea no matter how cheap it is. Budget boost it if worried about price. If not, lift it.
