Pink fluid on passenger floor...
Hi all,
I have never seen this in my Cherokee before, but I had the jeep parked on a very slight incline for about 4 days....
I had two small boxes of kleenex sitting on the passenger floor--front seat. I have full rubber floor liners. After 4 days of being parked on a slight incline, the two boxes of kleenex were soaked with a pink fluid.
My engine coolant looks to be green. Radiator fluid is bright green. Washer fluid is blue.
What the heck?! Any ideas? Some searching leads me to believe I could have a heater core issue, but the fluid color confuses me.

Thanks!!!

Sounds like a heater core problem to me. The Pink fluid does throw me off though. Rent a pressure tester and see if your cooling system loses pressure quickly and look for leaks. If it leaks and you cant see it, it is probably the heater core.

Does your windshield leak? Do you have rust at the top of your A-pillars or along the top of your windshield under the plastic trim piece? My MI jeep rusted away from that and the color could be from from something in or on the floor that is bleeding

It has only had the pink fluid show on the floor the one time--never happened again.
My engine coolant is at the "ADD" mark, but again, it looks like it's green.

Forgive my lack of car smarts--I don't understand....I've had the jeep for over a year and 23,000 miles of personal driving. I have never had it checked. Could "old detection fluid" stay that long? Why would it show now? Is leak detection fluid pink?
Thanks,
Dan

Someone told me I could put some kind of "leak-stop" in the radiator (some kind of leak-stop beads or something). Someone else told me you could dump a box of pepper in the radiator and it would plug up any existing leaks for a while! I find that hard to believe that's a good idea!
I'm not convinced I have a bad leak, but maybe something like this could hold me over until the Spring?
