Placement of Jack Stands
Where do you guys place your jack stands on the unibody frame? I bought a Haynes manual and searched the forums but didn't see any specific mention of it. On my '92 Mustang there were a couple specific spots you could jack from, is the Jeep the same or can I put the stands anywhere on the unibody "rails"?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Well when I need the front jacked up I use a floor jack on the axle and place the stands just behind the fenders on the frame rails.. In the read basically the same.

i always put the jack on the axles and put the stands on either end of the axles since my jeep sits up to high to have the jack stands on the frame rails to actually do anything. the doesnt go up evenly but it still works.

Frame rails are the strongest at the upturn in the front and just in front of the rear spring perch in the rear. HTH
