Default Plastic Hubs on stock 94 wheels

Hi All,
Took a break from my electrical work, to think about some easthetics ...looking at my stock wheels...it seems these black plastic hubs are not meant to be removed...
It looks like they are some sort of crimp/clamp on....They break when trying to remove.....
SO, I kind of like the look..after I clean up my wheels..can I epoxy/ 3M panel weld them in place ??
Some of you must have had similar problems with these wheels..??

A dab of JB weld or even some sealant will keep them from falling off if you feel it necessary. Just keep the threads clear. If you need new screws, they are M4.8x1.59x11.00.

Coincidentally enough i worked on this specific style wheel today there is 3 screws on the back holding on the plastic cap. If it is the same type of style i worked on they could have changed it. But with florida heat and hot hot brakes it seemed to be stuck on there pretty good and i needed to tap it with a rubber mallet to get on the balancer. the ones i took off felt pretty robust and can take a slight beating. But be gentle in the process i ended up cracking one just from being brittle. Then again this was a jeep that was sitting in a field since 1998 and the tires from 1996. Man those took a while to get off....

Yep, those 3 round metal bits are the sheetmetal "nuts" that attach to the ends of hollow studs on the plastic hub cover. 3 sheetmetal screws go through holes near the center of the wheel into those nuts to secure them.

The problem im having is the crimp nuts are snapping off..Plastic is very brittle... Think I can use adhesive to attach hubs to wheels..??

I tried to post a pic with the last PM but wouldn't happen so...................

I know what you mean about liking the looks. Here's how I had the rims before to going aftermarket ones. Excuse the mud but because of where I live it's either mud or dust. lol
