Good advice to take is to slow down and treat it like the SUV is is.
How old are your tires?... Just because they have good tread does not mean your tires are still good... Goodyear tires are famous for glazing over... they become slippery when wet and old... my suggestion would be to buy new tires.... and do not buy Goodyears get a new a/t tire... I am betting you have a highway summer tread tire... A goodyear St... Hope this helps...

These are the worst tires for the CRD. May work for cars, but they are complete junk for a Jeep. Feels unsafe except at low speeds. Ride comfort is ok, but wet traction is very poor and in mud or sand it will make 4-wheel drive useless and will only digt you in deeper. The only positive about these is they do acheive fairly good fuel mileage, but don't expect many miles for treadwear. Can nor recommend for anything other than fuel milage!

I purchased this vhicle used, with 6000 miles on the original tires. The tires are scary dangerous. The first time I drove in the rain, I couldn't accelerate, and more importantly, stopping was plain scary. You couldn't tell when they would break away. I simply will not drive the vehicle in rain or frozen precip until I replace these crappy tires.
