Default Popping noise?

Hi everyone, so i have a 1995 jeep cherokee se. completely stock at this point. every now any then i get a popping noise coming from the passenger side somewhere under the floorboard. my dad and i havent had the time to look at it, but i'm thinking it may be a lower control arm, or a ball joint or something along those lines... it doesnt effect anything driving wise. its just annoying! id like to get it fixed.

The only thing is that we did to it, was replace the 2WD front axle under it and put a new one under the truck. But we had a mechanic look at it to see if everything was right and it all checked out fine.

Any help on what could be popping?

When does it pop? When turning? When hitting a bump?

You're just going to have to get it on jacks and inspect everything in the front end for give...ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, etc.

Yeah there's a dozen components down there you need to inspect. Look around for shiny metal around all joints and bushings. That's an obvious sign of play. First place I would look is the track bar. Very common failure on our XJs
