Default Power Distribution Panel

Can someone with a 96 Cherokee Sport send me a picture of their power distribution panel? Mine appears to be missing some relays and fuses and appears some fuses are in wrong position according to the diagram. There have been no modifications, as far as I know, that would cause the fuses to be switched. But I'm also missing all my ABS relays.

That's on the underside of the cover, oh, & pulling the ABS relay is a popular dodge to kill the warning light.

I totally agree that reviving an old thread is justified if it has relevant info, and how can starting a brand new thread actually be better ?

Anyone can search and find this thread. Posting in it doesn't change that.

I dont want to seem overly argumentative

it may not change it, but it doesnt necessarily detract using a relevant older thread

At least it shows they are trying

In the case where its just some random sort of bringing up an old thread, well then I do agree with you

Maybe we can split in the middle and agree to differ

peace be upon you

Angry SORRY GUYS

Have any of you ever stopped to consider how awkward and long winded this site is to use? especially for some one with little computer skills?
To me it seems nobody cares or wants to keep pictures and comment in a specific catergory?
The FSM has some 1800 pages so this site must feel the need also>???
If I had to describe it the first things that come to mind are clumsy and laborious ?
Example if you wanted to find a picture of a specific part you have to search for hours in the hope that
CCKen has posted something?
My suggestion would be photos of say fuseboxes all in the same thread and members can add any relevant info to a particular one?
Also there are many conflicting opinions (and a desperado like me, who just wants his heep to go to some other sucker that can inherit the
headaches and expense that go with Jeep ownership) I often come away from this site more confused than when I began???

Not on PDC cover ? sure fuses are numbered but no indication of what they actually fuse?
I do not know what fusebox was used for UK vehicles but mine has no cover or any indication
of fuse function? I read somwhere that Australian XJs were CKDd to Thailand then built up
into "Bitsas" to ship here? my door glasses were made in Mexico? I have factory rustproofing
up to glass level as well as fiberglass nose panel and liftgate! I bought it in 97/98 from a company
fleet sell off ,
I have a cult classic that I want to spend time playing with so Jeep has to go!
Its resale is bugger all if I got 5000 on a good day the classic will return 20 times that!!!

Sorry my mistake, now I look at the picture more closely I see it's only the rating.

Next weekend I can have a look in my parts '96 see if the drivers manual/handbook is still in the glove-box & compare the fusebox cover with the picture. I could then send either or both, if that'd be any help, in return for beer vouchers, preferably in $US to the value of the postage.

All of mine have Mexican glass, which I doubt is an export thing, some parts are Canadian, the rads were Valeo, which is French (I thought) & even OEM replacement bits can come from almost anywhere.

If it's any consolation, all '96's are bitzas, as I understand it,mainly '95 but some features from the facelift '97 & up - & a few things all of their own. Of course, I didn't know any of that when I was running mine, which I didn't find a problem ("ignorance is bliss") & some I only discovered when I found they wouldn't fit my '99, & later, '98. .

Note from DJ regarding 96 PDC fuses

If you have a 96 and want information about the fuses in your Power Distribution Center click on this link and look at Post #3 by Radi

Thanks UKXJ
I have had 24 years of good running with my xj - but lately it has become an expensive P.I.T.A! Did you know they were made in China? (under licence) at one time? my Chinese water pumps lasted about 5 years! and from memory averaged about 15 quid
another interesting fact I dug out the original CKP and it part number is for a 2.5 four cylinder and same data matches up with the PCM ?? Crank sensor was********921 and PCM was *********200 WEIRD we did not have 4 cyl XJs here? and mine is a six
for sure! It has had 15w40 hi zinc oil fo 20 of those years,OEM radiator was replaced with alloy about 15 year ago , and cracked exhaust was replaced by extractors and big bore system costing same as a new exhaust MANIFOLD ex california !!
Thanks for offering to send , but I really dont need it as I have a swag of stuff in folders courtesy of CC Ken over the years,? Just waiting on a new crank sensor to arrive and the for sale sticker goes on her!!
Thank you
Greetings from an expat "pom" to a local "pom" Me Bicester 1947 -1950 been back often My sisters live in Halifax and delight in sending me SNOW photos!!1
