You've done well keeping it going for long (I only ad mine a couple of years before it came off 2nd best in a head-to-head with a 4WD tractor) but I met someone in Scotland last year who'd had an American XJ of similar vintage from new - but the rust repairs were beyond him & his wallet.
The Chinese ones were built from '02 for a few years; they looked quite different. My '98 has a ridiculously cheap, so probably Chinese, WP but that was before PRC products had the reputation they do now - so far, so good. (can't now remember why I didn't just take the one off the'96 - which means I still have it for the next time)
When my son decided to stay in Oz for a 2nd six months, I intended to go out to see him - but didn't like your adopted government's attitude to visitors. Still hope to get to NZ one day though.

Our government has lost sight of any values ,and our Labor party is in bed with the Greens and along with our Pollyanna PM ,are all tripping down the yellow brick road with their 100% unrealistic Save the planet bull****!
I grew up in New Zealand but their Leftist govt has divided what was a racially happy society,? fabulously beautiful country and I am glad I grew up there, Have been is Aus since 1971 ,and it was good but has got progressivly worse!
Now I am too ancient to move again but one more trip to UK is on the cards if we are allowed to travel ? 4 guys I knew were murdered by the jab and yes that is what I call it!!!
