Default Power locks

I've got a 98 Cherokee classic.
i can not get my power locks to work at all. No noise when pressing buttons. Power windows work.
Where do I need to start to diagnose the problem.
P/O said he replaced the drivers door assembly that controls the windows and locks with one from a junkyard so I was thinking maybe it didn't work.

I found a 5 amp fuse in the slot and it was blown. So I replaced it with the right one and got locks to work.

I checked all fuses. All good. I'll double check them again tomorrow after work though

I had to replace my passenger side control, that's the one that houses the relays for switching and that fixed my problem.

I checked all the fuses again and all are good. Where is the best place to check?

I would grab a pacific coast manual for your year and a meter and make sure you have power.

I'll look into the manual book I was needing one anyway.
Happen to know the pin outs for power?

I would suggest checking the passenger side control module. That is what fixed mine with the exact same problem. That's where the power lock relays are.

Okay I'll go ahead and order one and see if that does the fix for me.

Did your work sometimes or not at all? Mine work like 90% of the time. I haven't gone in there yet. For all I know it is wiring in the door(s). When they do not work I can here clicking from the passenger side front door. Been waiting for the weather to warm up and fixing the locks is way down on the list. Was thinking of just throwing the passenger side module at her and see what happens.

you can try to re-solder the control board on the passenger side before buying a new one.--and obviously check the connection first. Also solder the drivers side if you hear the relay on the passenger side clicking. If there is no clicking of the relay on the passenger side after re-soldering then replace the control board.
