Default Power Steering Pump options for a Renix

I need to replace the power steering pump, seen several posts and videos on upgrading to a grand cherokee pump however im not sure if they will work on a renix model. If not are there any recommendations on a good brand or if a pump from another model will work? I know larger tires kill these things so hoping to make this next one last as long as possible

thank you

I run a stock pump,* 33x 12.5 MT tires, rock crawl often.
I also installed a power steering fluid cooler and inline filter. Consider adding a cooler and filter, this will increase pump and gearbox longitivity. make sure cooler is located below the level of the pump, else air cant be purged out. an ATF type cooler will work fine
Magnfine makes nice inline filters to attach to the hose that runs to the cooler

*My current stockpump is an Orielly autoparts rebuilt unit. My gearbox is from a Dodge truck.

100% add a cooler to your power steering system. This is something I wish I had done much much sooner in my "wheeling career".

I'm not sure what it would take to mount the renix throttle body to a later style intake manifold but if you figured that out you would not only have the benefit of your choice power steering pump (if that be the v8 wj pump) but also you could get away from that old style belt tensioner pita setup utilizing the steer pump as the tensioner while your at it.

Never even crossed my mind to add a cooler. Makes sense tho, definitely something I’m going to do some more research on. If you know of any write ups or have a link to share I would greatly appreciate it
