i have been doing tint for some time. i did my wifes car and my sisters. both with pep boys film and they turn out great. all you need is a sptay bottle with 50/50 dish soap and water. an exacto blade and a handheld medium stiff plastic squeegie. i also did a friends car and he has extra doors he puts on for annual inspection that are without tint. gets him by and its a once a year rotation.

At the bottom of this page there are tint choices, which one would you pick?

i did some research and from www.windowtint.com you can actually get large rolls of tint in 25' incraments. largest is 100'. if you do yours and a friend wants you to do his/hers, you can recoup some of the money you spent by asking for "a small donation to cover your time and other expences". this is what i do and i about break even with what i spent. and your friends dont have to spend a buttload of cash at a tint shop, neither do you. plus, after a couple of jobs you get better.
just a thought
