No I'm doing rubberized on the underside. Once I've got everything tuned up I will be taking it in annually to get inside the frame and body done. I plan on keeping this thing for a while.

That is part of the reason it is so effective, the annual applications. No form of rustproofing, paint, undercoating, etc. lasts forever. All it takes is one pocket to form and trap salt, dirt and water and it's all over.

You might want to look into out a product called POR 15. Good stuff.

My plan is Chassis Saver which is a similar product and doing Monstaliner on my floors, fender wells, rockers, doors, etc.

I really like the idea of oil-based inside the frame and everywhere else. That must cost some $$ to have done professionally. I definitely want my jeep to last a long time...damn you rust

Have you every heard of the CounterAct Electronic Rust Protection System? Google it. Check out a video I put together on my 1990 RENIX. Installed in 2007.

Mine has something like that tucked way up under the dash with a wire running to one of the seatbelts under the rear seat. I can tell you that it definitely doesn't work.

Heard of it, have seen it busted many, many times.

I think it's only remotely effective if you have ZERO rust whatsoever at time of install. Still need to be **** about salt though.

Since I installed mine, I am intimate with how the whole system works. Mine has become broken a few times and I have had to replace one of the electrical pads each time. Whether there is rust or not, this system will inhibit the creation of any new. Or so the theory goes, I be able to let you know for sure in 20 years.

I've also installed mine in a different way in which ALL other installs are done, I've disconnected the power connection to the battery.

And no, I don't work for the company. I'm just a believer in technology gadgets.
