For all those interested:

Design set.
Metal ordered.
Waiting on word from hardware supplier.

Price: roughly $50ish (ballpark figure) I havent done the final number crunching yet.

Looks like they will be available before the hydraulic hood lifts.

I would go with primer to save money but black goes with everything. I would do a 1/4" bolt hole. I think that would be plenty strong with 2 of them. I thought about something like that for my zj. Anyway, I like your idea.

Default How to mount / Nutserts Q...

So...Whoever is getting them, how are you gonna bolt it on? Anyone gonna use nutserts? Cuz that would be a pretty cool write-up for someone looking how to use a new toy, plus I think it would give many more fabrication ideas for panels and whatever that could use a blind threaded hole that's secure...

Default I need a guinea pig....

I am ressurecting an old thread here.

Since there seems to be ALOT of interest in these A-pillar light mounts, I need a point of view from a patron, so to speak.

In other words...I need a guinea pig.

TO APPLY FOR THE POSITION OF GUINEA PIG PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW:

Private Message me with NAME, ADDRESS, AGE, and PHONE NUMBER. And a brief discription of WHY you would be great for this position.

Upon being accepted for this position you will receive:

ONE pair of A-pillar light mounts in black epoxy, Mounting hardware, and detailed installation intructions.
FREE. (NO CHARGE)
Here's the catch:

1. You must install them, give your honest opinion on everything about the "transaction" from notification of shipment to finish WITH PICTURES of all steps.
2. AFTER you are totally satisfied with the A-pillar light mounts- Post a Tech Article about it.

To be in the running for this position, remember to PM ME.
ANY replies posted on/in this thread will be ignored and your name will be removed from the list.

I had a LONG list of possible applicants and it was very difficult to narrow it down to one. I believe this would make things easier.
AND kinda fun too.

I will take PM applications for 1 week. Next Sunday Jan 25, 2009 is the deadline to get your PM's in. Please no duplications.
