hmm, all this talk about Seafoam and water. Just do what us Alaskans do, we just chuck a little snow in the intake once a year.
Ever since Cruiser showed me the water way, Ive used it on a few cars with success. Seafoam is just a waste of money for me now..Thanks Cruiser for the Old school way, works like a charm.

OP, do what you want. Personally, I wouldn't waste my money on that, but hey, it's your wallet...you got the answer you needed, right? Move on and do what you're gonna do. However, I highly suggest you try both. Let the results speak for themselves, but through experience, I gotta tell ya, I'm with cruiser on this one.

I enjoyed the information about the water, never tried it after all these years.
I've been working on cars and trucks for over 50 years and I find Cruiser's posts and info. to be right on.

There's no PROPER way to introduce any foreign substance into your intake, but there are dangerous ways like using the booster vacuum line. Use one of the smaller hoses, preferably one that connects near the throttle body so the fluid will be dispersed as evenly as possible through the intake or pour it down the throttle body slowly. The booster hose is very big and it'll make it hard to keep the engine running and to regulate your seafoam dose, if you slip up that hose can pull enough fluid to cause damage. If you don't mind using a nearly free cleaner I'll vouch for the water, been doing it for decades.

With the engine revved off idle, pour/spray whatever directly into the air horn above the throttle butterfly. If the engine dies, u poured/sprayed whatever too much too fast so guess what, don't do that again......try revving the motor a little higher and pouring/spraying whatever a little slower.
When going thru the brake booster hose, I wouldn't think those cylinders toward the front would get much of a dose of whatever, if any.
