Pschiit when I brake

Wondering if it is normal to have this sound (87 XJ)

I have this Pschiit sound when I press the brake pedal.
Not sur it was like that before.

The car brakes normal IMO

As I am about to go on a long highway trip (2000Km in 1 week), I wonder...

Does it make the noise the whole time you have the pedal pressed, or just while it is moving?

mine does too. its the vacuum system in the brake booster. its normal

Without hearing yours I say normal as superj says above. I can't hear it with the engine running.

Was your engine running? Were you driving it? Was your XJ parked with engine off?
