Push Rod replacement question
Hello all,
Quick question, I'm in the process of replacing the head on my 1991 4.0 XJ. I wanted to replace the push rods, however I can't seem to find the same length that I took out of my 4.0. I measured my rods and they come in at 9.625" all the replacement rods I can find measure 9.641" My question is, where can I find rods that match my length? or can I use the 9.641" rods?
Also any reccomendations for replacement rockers?
Thanks for the help!

Use the longer ones.. 0.016 of an inch won't make any difference.. When you torque down the rockers to spec they'll be fine. As long as you're pulling the head off, i'd think about replacing the lifters too.. they been in there since '91, ya? New ones will probably be just as noisy, but they're new.

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to check before I used the longer ones. I already planned on replacing the lifters. Thanks for the help and advice!
