im looking at the following:

Kicker KS5250, or Infinity Reference 5022i or even Polk Audio db521 for speakers
Dual XHD7714, or JVC KD-HDR50 for the deck

is there anything else that i will need, like and amp or anything?

also is there a spot for speakers in the passenger doors or can i only put them in the front doors and tailgate. and how do i take the plastic on the steering wheel of so that i can take off the plastic covering the dash?

any and all advice is appreciated

i also plan on putting a sub in the rear "cubby hole" area like in a different thread, but that is for latter.
I would definitly go with the polk audio speakers, and the JVC deck. But i would recommend the pioneer 510ub wich is what i have in my 2000 jeep. you wanna have a 4 channel amp hooked to your door speakers to get the best quality. I have and entire memphis audio system in my jeep, down to memphis pr highs and 3 memphis pr subs, and two memphis amps

Heres my custom cubby install. Its bolted into the sheet metal behind the panel. Its going nowhere. This is a Sealed box also for a 10" sub.

I debated long and hard for a couple weeks on doing this as well. But I have decided to go with a full on box for 12's. which will be able to be removed quickly in the event i need space. The Crunch Ground Pounder 12's I got were best mated with a 4.0 cubic box and dual 4x14 ports per my computer program. A side mount box was not an option, that and my speakers worked best when in a box together.

I am really interested in seeing your pics and hear about the bass response.

I already done a 12" version for the cubby side. One will not work like that on the driver side do to the sheet metal and wiring inside the panel.

Heres the 12" I done.
