Putting an XJ on a frame??
Has anyone ever seen an XJ on a frame of somekind. Not a tube chassis, but another vehicle's frame, suspension, and drivetrain. I have had this sick dream in my head for awhile involving a late model Dodge SWB truck, K5, early model Bronco or something!! But, I don't have the means to do it.....YET!!!People have done it to other vehicles! Why not an XJ. I want mine to look clean, as close to a factory look as possible! I seen some really bad hack jobs, they look like REALLY BAD!! Anybody else ever think about this??

It would be a HUGE project!! I was thinking any old XJ would work, just get a nice, straight, rust free body. He!!, I can find 2.8s everywhere for next to nothing or less!! It would have to be clean!! I don't want a POS!! What would your choice be for a platform frame and suspension for something like this??

I would cut off the "frame" under the XJ to make it sit tighter on the frame. I don't like the way you can see so much of the frame. That is not what I would want to do. Other than the bulk, and poor tire choice, it isn't that bad. Just not quite clean enough!! Thanks for the pic, that's the first one I have seen done. Yes, I agree, that is too much lift for an XJ!!
