I just bought a very clean, yellow 2000 Cherokee Sport Freedom with 79K. I had never heard of a Freedom. I wonder if it included bright color choices, like AMX's Big Bad Orange/Green in '69 (I have a red one-owner '68 AMX). It does not have the "ceiling" temp/compass/mileage controls, but is otherwise identical inside to our '98 Sport. I never thought I would own a yellow vehicle, but my wife loves it & it is growing on me. It's similar to the one pictured in this chain of responses. Everything works on it, & it's lost cheaper than a new Liberty or Grand Cherokee, & $23/mo. to insure (multiple vehicle discount)! Hope it lasts for a LONG time!

Yes you are right as far as I have found also. I too own a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Freedom. As far as I can tell the only difference from a Sport is that it has a chrome grill and no moldings and the fender flares are black not painted. I have the window sticker and a couple things include the package one being the chrome grill. Mine was bought new and completly worked over from American Expedition Vehicles in Montana. I was told they made only a hand full of Cherokee's and moved on with the TJs and other Jeeps since Jeep was not to make the XJ after 2001.
Hope this helps!
they also had semi rare 16 inch wheels

Default Questions about the trims?

This is my bone stock freedom edition, I have just turned 16 and bought this as my first car only 135,000 miles! I was also wondering what’s so special and why I can’t find anything about them? Also may be a dumb question but when I go to parts stores and have to select a trim I get confused is the freedom edition just the “limited” or is that different because there’s never an option for freedom?
