Default Question's About My Engine

OK. My engine will shake, its not the motor mounts I took it to a local mechanic he looked at them and told me they are fine. But I cannot seem to figure out what the shake is coming from. The motor is fine when I give it gas it still responds just fine. But can anyone help me out PLEASE!!!!

Have you changed the spark plugs recently and or fiddled around with that stuff because if you have you might have switched up the firing order. This happened to me over the weekend and my engine shook like hell when it idled.

Yea I changed the spark plugs but when I did that I went 1 by 1. And it was shaking before I changed them.

Nope. It just started shaking all of a sudden, and I thought that it may be a bad spark plug or wires so I went and picked up a set a changed them out.

Take a look at your distributer cap and roter as well. I changed mine this weekend and somehow moisture got under it and the under side of my cap looked terrible. If this is the case something might be effecting your spark which may not be firing the plug in the first place. This is my short diagnosis

Default mine was doing this

when i first got it, mine was doing the same. it would shake and sputter when idling. i opened it up one night, and guess what i saw. the rubber boots that go around the spark plugs from the spark plug wires were just dry rotted enough to allow the spark to pass through and straight to the engine block. so every so often that spark plug wouldn't ignite. tonight check it out. let it idle, and open the hood. make sure its dark. if you see sparks around the spark plugs, you need new wires. i thought it was just the extra ethanol that was making it miss every so often. nope. put new spark plug wires on and it runs like a clock.

I changed my spark plugs and my wires. When it was acting like this before, and it still didn't change anything. It still shakes I just can't seem to figure it out.

you could have a bad injector

I have had good luck finding bad injectors by feeling them just put your finger on them one at a time you should feel a slight clicking on each one
if one is doing if more or less that the rest it is probably the one
