Not a bad looking piece. Hope the ones I ordered work out o.k. The jeep only has a 3" lift on it rather than the 4.5" you've got. The guy said they'd work out fine on a 3". Guess we'll see.
Whos steering stabilizer are you running warthog? I need to get a new one.

You can buy heat shrink at Radio Shack, Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hareware etc. in the electrical department and it comes in various sizes.
Another option might be to switch the pins out for an aircraft type pushbutton ball release type of pin.
Although expensive. These things cost $20 a pop and I'm not sure how they'd hold up the environment they're being used in aka mud, water, dirt, dust etc.

I will look into the heat shrink, Thanks.
Funny you should say aircraft type pins, I work on aircraft and work with these pins every day. They are great pins and if i come across any in the trash i will pick them up.

If you're referring to the 43151C thing, that was my job description (code). Back then it was the job code for a crew chief on 1 and 2 engine jet fighters, although I was never actually a crew chief.
I worked in the AR shop which was flight controls, landing gear and crash recovery on F111D models at Canon AFB in New Mexico. When at Hahn AFB in Germany I was in Transient Alert. That gig was pretty much a glorified gas station attendant, but was a cake assignment for someone in my group.
Got to mess with some ancient stuff in that job. F100's, F104's, F105's, F5's, French Mirage, English F4's with Rolls Royce motors, Fouga (little french planes), T33's, T38's, Swedish Saabs, German Tornados. Even some Navy birds, A4's, A7's, F14's etc, etc. Once in a great while we'd even get a visit by a warthog or two.

Disco's with those type of pins have never been known to be quiet, espescially as they age and the holes wallow out.
I run JKS, very quiet. But living in an environment which uses salt on the roads my bushings have frozen, not a huge deal but theres a compromise with any design basically.
