Quick dks needed?
I'm putting a Rocky Road 3" budget lift on my 2000 XJ. I still plan on using it for my DD and wanted to know if I should get Quick disconnects for my front sway bar or if i need extensions of some sort. I've been told I'd be better off just junking my rear swar bar by some but i don't want to lose too much of my on road handling.
I've already got replacement energy suspension bushings all around ready to install with the lift and an adj. track bar. Anything else I might need for stage 1 of the mod?
Next stage will be a banks exhaust followed by new coils and leaf packs.

for the rear swaybar it's not a matter of if, there's no way to keep using it. The front can be used, I am right now but it will be at an extreme end of it's being connected and used. Best to get longer end links or disconnects. I am a DD and do trails but no wild stuff so I have extended links coming this week.
As far as handling, if you can get the front to reconnect you won't really notice the rear being gone.

you dont need them. i used to run 80-90 on my way to big bear with no sway bars and a 3 inch lift. it rolls a bit more going around a corner in town. throw the rear one away and you can keep the front one and just use the stock connectors.

brakes?
On that note, will I need to do anything with my brake lines? Aside from the TC drop and dropping my exhaust a bit, didn't know what else would be getting in the way or not be long enough.

you won't have a problem with brake lines on a 3". I took my rear sway bar out a while ago and it didn't make a difference really. I took my front sway bar out too (which isn't the greatest thing to do) for now and aside from a bit of body roll (nothing sketchy) its fine. I just don't go careening around corners or anything. You won't have any problems.
