Default Quick, easy spark plug torque question

What are the torque settings for spark plugs in a 97 jeep cherokee 4.0 I6?

Every thread i find are all different and most people just say to guess but my dad doesn't want me to guess, so I'm wondering if anyone knows that has one or not.

My Jeep didn't come with an owners manual so I can't look it up.

Thanks,
Kyle

Are you sure? Someone told me 10-12 and those numbers are quite different. I'm not saying you're wrong, just wondering where you got your info.

Thanks

Tighten the spark plugs to 35-41 N·m (26-30 ft. lbs.) torque

4 cyl and inline 6 cyl spark plugs to 27 ft lb, V6 to 22 ft lb, Haynes manual
4 & 6 cyl 22 to 33 ft lb, Chrysler 1989 Cherokee / Wagoneer Owners Manual
Tell you the truth, I use antiseize lightly on the plug threads, have for years, no issues, easy service.

New tools are always fun, a good torque wrench will last you for many years, you can install your plugs with your existing wrench and always check em in the future with your new wrench. When you are done, always take the pressure off the internal spring of your torque wrench (set it to zero), this will provide long reliability of the mechanism and hold calibration true.

Yeah, I figured that's what I would do. And I never thought about setting it to zero every time. Thanks for the tip.
