Default Quick front drive shaft question

Is there a way to remove and change the front u joint without pulling the whole driveshaft? does the front slip yoke pull out from the d shaft? if so, could you please explain how to do it?

I think it would just be easier to pull the whole shaft out. it's just 4 bolts on the t-case end.

beefy skid plates make this not as easy as you say it is... does the drive shaft separate at the front slip travel?
