I have been searching about replacement fuel injectors for my Cherokee. Keep coming across the term "Renix", Whats that mean?
Thanks

Renix is the Engine control system used in Pre-91 Cherokees. It was a system designed in a joint venture between Renault and Bendix, thus Ren-Ix. If you have a 91 or newer Cherokee you have a Chrysler sourced Engine Control System. As far as injector swaps go you can either get Ford 19lb injectors or Neon injectors(but you need specific ones)

Renix applies to the 87-90 Cherokees only. The 84-86 were built by AMC and in 1987 Chrysler bought AMC and started using the Renix system when the 4.0 inline six was used to replaced the underpowered GM 2.8 V6.

You may want to be careful with that. I'm not sure the Renix system uses the same injectors as Chrysler does.

i have the 19lbs in mine but they were givin to me... or i would have paid for the neons... still may will actually... my JY takes $15 each injector... which i think is kinda high but its cheaper then new and anywhere else on the internet anyway... he says thats the core price on them... just to give you an idea on a price...

Huh, thanks for correcting me if you want some Neon Injectors for Cheap PM me. They're in great condition, I only have 4 but it'll still be way cheaper than your JY wants for them.

I was curious about that name too.
Renault has been just about everywhere doing everything.
