Capped the vac line that was on the air box and attached both lines off the valve cover to the cai adapter piece

It pulls air through the valve cover, which enters through the big front hose after it is filterd by the air filter.

I get the front vent, and assume the othere there is going ot the canister.

"both lines off the VC to the adapter" is what threw me. I guess the engine is designed to have that 2.6mm orifice/vac leak (in the) the CCV valve to the intake manifold, (in front of the TB). Also it vents stuff you don't want in the VC.

Ya the other goes to the canister. Do I need that or can I get rid of it?

It really IS harmless. Helps reduce smog with no loss to us. It happens to be against forum rules, and meybe Federal Law to talk of removing smog stuff. It's harmless, mine it hooked up.

Hey, where is the the tube from the rear CCV valve (top rear on the valve cover), hooked up?

Ooops oh well didnt know what it was for besides taking up space. Wait how does it help with smog??

Its always been hooked to the intake manifold looks like its a stock hook up.

I guess the "evap canister" has charcoal that soaks/holds vapor from your tank. When you are runnen' it then goes into your engine. Those hydrocarbons, (unburnt fuel), are not good in the air. (and combine with other stuff to make other un-welcome stuff). As a 4 year old down-wind of LA I still remember my eyes burning and my chest "clamping" before I could take a whole breath. (1964). That allong with plenty other has made the air MUCH better. The whole life layer from the bottom of the sea, to the mountain tops is relatively as thick as the wax on a bolling ball. It only looks big edgeways as we see it.

, Cool, After all that....I think the blow-by most of us have swamps any vacuum that might provide, but it's always there..."venting"

Thats kinda cool to know. Is there anything under the hood I can remove to free up some space. I plan on doing OBA so figured any extra room on the passenger side would be useful
