Default Radiator Swap

So I'm gonna be swapping out my leaky radiator in the next couple of days. What are some additional "while it's off you should..." things I should do/look for?

Definitely gonna flush the whole system, but have a question. Are there any particular detergents/agents/de-scalers you'd recommend? Or should I just use a hose a squirt her until she's clear? I'm sure there's a good amount of crust and deposits built up in there.

Thanks for the info!

Personally, I'd say:
--Water pump
--Thermostat
--All coolant hoses (radiator, heater, etc)
--Use some cooling system flush product (whatever is on sale at autozone)
--Fan clutch
--Radiator cap

Ditto. Don't forget the thermostat gasket. I did my lower tranny hose too when I did mine. It was OK but was getting a notch in the rubber part from rubbing on the steering box. Plenty videos to give you an idea. Couple things. 15mm will be used to loosen the pulley and spin the adjustment rod to get the belt off. There might some clips on the bottom tabs of both the electric fan and manual fan shroud. Best to get some pliers on them from the bottom and have somebody pull up from the top. Brittle plastic and all that. The lower tranny line clicks into the elbow on the radiator with a quick connect. Gets all gunky in there and can be a pain to separate. I used a fuel line type crowfeet to take the elbow off the radiator. Then cleaned out the quick connect and use the AC Line removal tool.

Pretty sure I used the 19mm out of the crowfoot set. When putting back on the old tranny line or a new one use a little Vaseline on the little O Ring so it does not roll when putting it back together.
