[QUOTE="WomanNeedsJeepExpertise;3106645"] the fuses looked fine and spiffy which has lead me to believe it's something wrong with the wires. I did change them anyway though.

Analog meters, like that, have their use, but not when troubleshooting issues on your Jeep. You would be better off spending around $30 to buy a Digital Volt/Ohmmeter. Do not buy an auto-ranging multimeter, Manual only.
Go to Home Depot or Lowes and look at their meters.
Forget the cheap multimeters at Harbor Freight.

∆ In April 2014 you started a thread with the same problem, no radio or cig lighter. You also said your son installed the radio. Then you said you tested the fuse with a multimeter. And now you ask help on how to use one. And then the radio and lighter both magically started working.
I've got to move on. Sorry.

Hey you guys literally all I did was put the original 2 & 15 fuses back and wallah the cigarette lighter and radio are back on again. No wires were changed at all. I often find myself having streaks of luck after a run of unluckiness. Thank you all so much for your help especially when you don't have to. I've learned, saved money, and kept a fine running jeep because of the input you all have given. Thank you all very much. Much love.

Wow. Just can't take the OP seriously after the last two thread starts. Beginning to think there's a troll at the controls that just posts crap to get reactions. If you read all the info in this mess, first it was a Phillips head that he/she jammed in there, which was later reported as a flat blade. Just a bunch of nonsense.

If your gonna invest in a meter grab a test light also while your at it. Glad to see its working again. Minimal unnecessary work was performed on your newest catastrophe your getting better at this. Do yourself one more favor stick with listening to your regular helpers in the future.
