Default ranger 6in leaf questions

ok guys i know its bin talked about, ive searched and found little info just some talk. Any way i have ranger 6in leaf springs in my garage from an old lift,i measured the width of the leafs and their 2 1/2 wide. I went outside and measure the cherokee and there the same width. Now my question is if their wdth is the same will they just bolt right in? do you guys see me running into any problems with these?

thanks
Jim

what about length, shackle to shackle? cant just go squeezing them in there. you'd probably blow the leafs right of the unibody.

I've measured Ranger leaves in the wrecking yard looking for ways to make Bastard packs. They are not the same measurements. Just the same width. The length from the center bolt to the eyes on the main leaves is different so you can't just bolt them in.

All might not be lost....
Depending on their length, you MIGHT be able to cut the eyes off the main leaves and/or use some of the other leaves to make a bastard pack...if the Ranger leaves are longer than XJ leaves.
If they are too short, it's not worth it, IMHO.
A lot would also depend on where the centering pin hole is located in relation to the centering pin hole on XJ springs, too
IMHO, you would probably be better off selling the Ranger leaf packs on craigslist and using that $ to get what you need/want...Craigslist can be your friend sometimes.

Actually, which springs are those? Who made them?

The thing about the ranger leaf spring is that the front of the spring is much shorter than the XJ spring while the back of the spring is much longer. You could use parts of it and cut down some of the leaves to fit right, but the S10 spring is much better suited for this since its dimensions are almost the same.
