Default RC 3 in. Lifts....

I was wondering if I should get the reg RC lift or the RC series 2 lift? Are the lower control arms and sway bar drop brackets that come with the series 2 lift vital for a 3 in lift?

Series 2: http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3x.html

No you do not need LCA's at this height you will if you want to go higher tho and the sway bar drop brackets are not worth it cause you will most likly get quick discos down the road

I have researched both kits and I am going with the regular lift

The only real advantage of the series 2 is stouter LCA's other then that the two kits are the same. Also I agree with those sway bar drop brackets not worth it just get new links.

arnt there LCA's the same length as stock so you would need a longer or adjustable set if you wanted to go bigger

I might consider the LCAs since mine are pretty beat up considering they are 17 years old .

Are the extended brake lines a must? I've been reading around that a 95 yj has 3 in longer brake lines so they should be fine? And should I get an adj track bar also?

you will most likly get quick discos down the road
What are discos?

yeah your gonna want longer rear lines YJ ones will work fine.

you can either re-drill the trackbar but i think thats kinda half *** but a lot of guys do it I recommend a adj. trackbar.

Quick disconnects are sway bar links that you can disconnect thus spliting the sway bar so you have more articluation off road.

Thanks.

Should I get a get a t-case drop kit or will the driveline be fine with a 3 in lift?

Also I read somewhere that your speedo will be off if you get bigger tires. Will it be bad enough that I have to get a speedo gear?

well every jeep is different but mostly at 3 inches you wont need one. but if you do you can make one easy with some square tubing so thats not a huge deal

yeah it will be off quite a bit if you run 31's maybe 5 mph at 50 mph more at higher speeds that can be corrected by getting a different speedo gear
