Default RE XJ 3.5" Super Ride w/ Rear Springs

I have a '99 Cherokee and I am looking to install a suspension lift on it. I have looked at alot of lifts and I want the Rubicon Express 3.5 Super Ride... What are your opinions? or reviews who have it?

Yea ive looked at a couple and I want to get a kind that just focuses on Jeep, their main priority. Did you get a tcase drop? Cye shaft?(dont have money for that right now) or adj track bar?

As long as ur not puting pucks/shackles ontop of ur spings u shouldn't need a SYE, but u can make a tcase drop for like $10 with some 1"x1" square tube & longer replacement bolts!

I kept my 2" BB on & didn't need a SYE or track bar, but every xj is different as far as death wable goes! I wouldn't go with RE just cause they know jeep if I did it again I'd go roughcountry!!!

X2 on going RoughCountry. For the price of the RE lift kit, you could likely get an RC 4.5" llift that included everything you needed, even that T-case drop. And you can add their double shear adjustable trackbar for 129.99. And it is BEEF. All this includes control arms and shocks and full leaf packs. A rubicon Express 3.5 Superflex with full packs, no shocks, no trackbar (def not a double shear one!) would be around the same price. ($780 from RC direct for the 4.5 RC w/ DS Trackbar, $760 at jeepinoutfitters.com for 3.5 RE superflex with full packs and no shocks or trackbar). By the time you bought shocks and a RE double shear trackbar for the RE kit, you could have added a RC heavy wall DOM tierod upgrade and a set of control arm drops. Or you could even skip those Parts and get yourself some wheels and tires!

That said (and I am a huge RC fan, have parts in the mail from them right now, haha) I have great respect for RE's products. They are of great quality and certainly built to last. The reason I compared the 3.5 RE to the 4.5 RC is that RE lifts often get XJ owners an additional 1-1.5 inches over advertised height. I have a good friend with the RE 3.5 Superflex on his XJ and it performs very well and has never let him down, so if you are dead set on the brand name, and what type of sticker you get to stick on your Jeep, then go RE. But if you want tough, reliable functionality, and wana get WAY more bang for your buck, go RC all day.

i installed a 3.5" RE superflex kit w/ rear spring packs last week. netted me about 4.25" actually, but springs are yet to settle. had to do a TC drop tho, i just used some 2" x 1" square tube and got longer bolts. you have to drill and relocate the track bar 3/4" on the axle mount but that it. IMO i would go RE because they are reliable and great lifts to build on, so if you ever wanted to go taller....
get a hold of chris at 4wheelcustoms.com...heres his email...
Chris@4wheelcustoms.com
he got me the RE 3.5" superflex kit w/ 4 RE monotube shocks for $999.99 shipping included...best deal i found.
i was going to go rough country but i rode in my buddies XJ who has the RC 4.5" kit and it rolls and sways bad and is too flexy...if thats possible. i wanted to maintain stock like handling but have the performance offroad thats why i chose RE. that and i got some BPE's from rough country and was not impressed with the quality of product so that influenced my choice alot. that and i hear that RC doesnt put in the extensive research and rigorous testing on their products that RE does, a company dedicated to jeeps. just my .02 cents

Default RE....

I have the 3.5 super flex and love it....didn't have to use a sye kit but will be doing that soon. I went with extended shackles in the rear to get the extra lift i wanted. The customer service with RE is amazing Had a few problems when i went to install, friends fault should have watched them better, and spent a couple hours on the phone with them and was amazed at the help. Definitely worth the money.

just put on the RE 3.5 yesterday. i got it from jeepinoutfitters.com. if you do buy it from them they offer free shipping on all RE items and also shocks are discounted with RE kits. jason is a great guy to deal with. with that said, i have a 2000 and might want to keep in mind a transfer case drop because i got some serious vibes. i'm going to make one tomorrow. great kit by the way. they're stuff is built like a brick ****house. not a sermon, just a thought.
