Rear axle shock mounts
I'm about to have my friend weld on my JKS shock mounts on my 8.25 & we're wondering should we weld the both mounts on the rear of the axle or weld them back on the same as stock? If memory serves me the drivers side is on the rear of the axle and the passenger side is on the front of the axle.
Anyone know if one way is better than another?
Any help would be appreciated.

Get the axle in place under the rig, then you can fiddle with placement.
Lossely bolt the mounts to the shocks and then use a floorjack to compress the shock....then tack the mounts where you want them.
