Rear brake hard lines...
Anyone know what size the rear brake hardlines are? The ones that run from the splitter alone the rear axle and plugs into the wheel cylinders? I have the option of 3/8", 1/4" and 5/16".. I want to replace them on a D35 out of a 91 XJ. I also plan on upgrading to disc brakes on it so that could be a factor. Just want to make sure the fitting is proper.

I thought they were 3/16. I could be wrong. Easy way to tell is if you go to the parts store have them pull a wheel cylinder and then just find the break line that screws into it.

Yeah I looked there first but no sized..I know we have a guy or two who work for a jeep place so maybe they might know. Going to goto napa tomorrow and see if they know.

Just make sure you get the same size lines, the fittings you can always cut, change and reflare... Going up/down in line diameter will increase/drcerase brake pressure and biasing on that particular axle/wheel.

Stryker did you buy them locally or did you order them online? I know quadratec sells them in a 20ft kit with fittings..

I was wrong it is 3/16th hope you didnt buy any yet oops...
I was really doubting the 5/16th i said. So I actually used the search feature and found the correct size.

Havne't seen anything other then 5/16,3/8 and 1/4 online though..I'll call the parts house..
