Default Rear Brake pad question

Alright i know i have had a lot of questions but i am new to jeeps. i just bought my 98 xj 4wd 4.0L 4 door and wanted to replace all brake pads and shoes. went to advanced auto parts, got the front no problem but he asked me if i had 9" or 10" pads on the rear. i have no clue. i dont want to have to remove the drum just to measure. if yall need any more info let me know.
TIA

the only way to tell for sure is to measure the first time you you measure then write it down and you will know forever there are a number of things you would have to know to get the size just pull the wheel off and measure the inside of the drum then you will know for sure if you dont want to do that buy both sets and return one

I thought the dana 35 used the 9" and the Chrysler 8.25" used the 10"

The size is stamped on the face of the drum, if you can still read it and it is not to rusty.

I have the same problem except they asked me what width. Either 1 3/4in or 2 1/8. Now I took it in for a free brake inspection and they said I had the wrong ones. so which ones do I use?

I believe the C 8.25 has the smaller 9 shoes, and 10 on the dana 35.

This site has a great search forum. Utilize it. Or Google for pics of either axle.

The 8.25 has more of a round diff cover with a black plastic fill plug. Not to sure about the 35, it ****y and I hope you dont have it.
