if you dont have posi your other tires wont turn same as the spinning one, the only way for both to do this is having posi,, the only way to have it is swaping diffs, or IDK if there is a limited slip kit

Sipe your tires and put a couple sandbags in the back end. Should be cheap enough

For the OP: Your local tire shop can "sipe" your tires.

Posi traction is the GM brand name for limited slip rear ends.

Jeep's brand name is Trac-loc and yes it is available for any of the 3 rear ends that appeared in Cherokees.

Sand bags hey ! I did notice I get better grip with a full tank of gas so a couple bags of sand would help for sure !

And completely useless for a daily driver. Not to mention downright dangerous in snow and icy weather.

For snow/winter driving, really just some good ol' decent tires will make a TREMENDOUS difference. I know a lot of people talk, but I actually took my jeep and a friend's little chevy pickup out (about the same weight). She had A/T's, I did not. Even in the level stuff, the A/T's made a huge difference in traction. We were driving in about 2" snow on packed dirt, and the difference in tread performance was amazing. Siping makes a difference on icy/wet roads, but not much difference on snow. Here's my current tires:

If you have something like this, I recommend you get some good a/t's on there. Best difference you can make. You can get them for about $300 for four at www.treadwright.com

Edit: Just noticed this is a pic of that wheel that I lost my center cap on. I got that thing replaced last week.
