Rear end identification
Hey all.
I noticed that when I went to check the price of wheel bearings, my model Jeep came with 2 possible options. There is the Chrysler rear end, and a Dana rear end.
How do you tell the difference between the two? I am pretty sure I have a Chrysler rear end, as it had the Dodge/Chrysler star stamped on the casing. Is that a sure fire way to tell, or did Jeep/Chrysler stamp all their parts that way, and I am left to determine the maker of the diff by part number?

Rear axle identification.. the left one is the Chrysler 8.25 most commonly identified by the flat spot on the bottom of the differential housing and the right is the Dana 35
