Rear Hatch - Broken Clip
The clip that holds the adjusting rod for my rear hatch is broken. Anyone know where to find a replacement. Or, beter yet...anyone come up with a replacement mechanizim to get rid of the crapping clip all together

Bump... I have the same problem but I just gave up on fixing it and started using a small pry bar from the inside of the Jeep to get it open

Been scoping out the hard ware store for possible hardware. Best I've been able to some up with is threaded rod on a coupler for the adjustment. I'll have to drill and tap the coupler to thread in rod to make a T to bolt through the latch mechanizm. This is the best I've come up with so far since I don't know #$@! about welding.
Probably will not attempt this until the next time the threads jump on the clip and I have to take of the interior panel to unlock it.
