Default Rear main seal, to change now or later

My 1991 Cherokee seems to be leaking some oil from the rear main seal. The valve cover and filter adapter have already been changed and are dry.

I have had the vehicle for a month and have put 350 miles on it. After the valve cover and adapter were fixed all was well with no leaks. Engine had been cleaned off and looked happy. Sunday I went out and found a spot about the size of a half dollar on the ground. Leak was from bottom of bell housing. Looked all above it and found no oil. This morning looked again, no leak seen. Went to town got home and noticed a few small drips from the bell housing

I hate oil leaks........I know it will get worse and not better but would you fix now or later? I have the parts to fix it. New pan seal, rear main and a new oil pump, got them today.

If you got the parts already, then what's the hold up? Maybe you could put the new parts on a shelf and say to yourself, every time you walk by, "Look at those beautiful Jeep parts. Maybe some day I'll actually get around to fixing my Jeep with them" LOL

Just do it and get it done, I say.

You are never done with a Jeep. There is always the next thing that "needs" to be done. I however do see the temptation in waiting until it isn't as cold. Even inside a garage can be cold in in the winter.
