Default Rear Right turn signal not working

It's not the bulb! I swapped the bulbs left to right and both work in the left side (not at the same time, of course ) and neither work in the right side.

So apparently there is a broken wire somewhere but nothing apparent in the part of the harness you can access behind the fixture. Any suggestions short of tearing the entire interior out to look for the broken wire?

Is there a front/rear Y junction accessible and identifiable somewhere up front? I'm thinking maybe just run a new single wire to the right rear turn signal socket.

Unfortunately there are many connectors behind the side cargo panels that need to be looked at. They are pretty easy to remove except for the seatbelts passing thru them. You can still twist them out of the way.
All the wiring for the passenger's side comes from the driver's side from multiple connectors. The lighting also runs thru the trailer module if you have one. The good part is everything is held together with phillips screws. I have a hole rusted in my rear fenderwell that resulted in salt water from the road attacking the wiring and causing a fire! Everything is now butt connectors!

Thanks!

So I should take off the driver's side interior panel instead of passenger side?

You can just take off the pass side, but if you don't find the problem there, you'll need to go to the drivers side. The drivers side has the tire mount on it which can be a PITA.

After determining that the passenger side wiring seems to run directly up over the top of the rear hatch, I took apart the driver side panel. I was trying to figure out what was what and found what I thought was the trailer harness. So - duh - I checked the trailer plug with a test light and sure enough it has tail and left turn signal but no right turn signal. I also pulled apart a plug inside the quarter panel that appears to go to the trailer plug and comes off the main bundle of wires ahead of everything else. Same thing: tail and left signal but no right signal. So I'm now convinced the problem is up front.

The bad thing is that about a month ago I had the tilt steering fixed at a shop and now I don't really know if the right turn signal has worked right since then? Is it possible that the front signal could be connected to the switch but the back signal light isn't? If the problem is in the column then I'm going to have to take it back into the shop. He's a really good guy and I don't want to blame him for something that may have happened later.

Anybody know of any specific connections under the dash that might be at fault ???

Well, I dunno if anyone is still reading this thread, but ...

I downloaded the FSM from cruiser54.com and looked at the wiring diagrams. On figure 6, D-E/20-21 it looks like there is a separate pole in the turn signal switch for front and rear and therefore separate wires originating for front/dash and rear turn signals. Does anyone know if these wires connect separately and therefore one could be disconnected inside the column? I don't have the tools to take off the steering wheel and the lock plate.
