Rear tail shaft broke on transfer case

Rear tail shaft broke on transfer case
So about 40 mph my rear u-joint exploded and the drive shaft broke my transfer case rear tail shaft can I just replace the tail shaft or what else besides the u-joint would I have to replace to get her back on the road.

Whoa! I bet that was dramatic. It's not very difficult to change the tailshaft and housing. There's probably someone who has one laying around from doing the slip yoke eliminator but if I were you, I'd go ahead and do the SYE on yours since you need a shaft and driveshaft anyway.

Yeah, just replace the extension housing and the oil seal in the end. You didn't mention the year or case, but Quadratech has it for $34.
