Default Relay location?

Rear Wiper and Defogger Relays on a ’93 XJ?

Once again, I am asking for your help on locating and describing where something is located and what they look like. (Pictures would be sweet)

Remember, this Police Jeep was so Bare-Boned that it looked like it had been Car Jacked from a wrecking yard! Most of the parts I need are simply missing. Yes I could find the sockets myself by going hand over hand, following the harness but God only knows how long this would take…

I don’t have power at the rear harness for either so I am thinking the relays are not there. (Switches are installed even though the option is not) It’s such a pain to TS something when you don’t know where it is or even what it looks like! I’m pretty sure it will end up being similar to the dozens of other little black relays that are “scattered all over this stupid thing” but I would really appreciate help from you on where to start looking…

After “Dozens” of shopping sprees to the Bone-Yard, I think I have got all the options they have and I want added to my rig as far as creature comforts go. The goal so far has to end up with a dependable/comfortable winter rig. Next spring I’ll concentrate on cosmetic things like paint and cleaning out the inside…

After I get my ’50 ford converted to 4X4, I will most likely submit to the overwhelming urge that this site has given me to change this Jeep into a moderately capable trail rig…
(So many parts, so little cash!)

Thanks in advance,
Jay

Default Revised/clarified question...

OK, After a little coffee, there is a better way to ask this:

All fuses are good. Switches and harness were in the vehicle. (At the back hatch) Defroster grid was in the vehicle. There is no relay for the rear defogger in the under dash relay center nor wires to the socket where it should be. I am trying to add the wiper motor and fix the defogger.

1. Is there another location that there could be a rear defogger relay?
2. Is there even supposed to be a relay for the rear wiper?

I hope my EX dosn't know how bad it hurts not having my tone generator...

Yea it's cool untill you try to figure out the way they did things for a Police rig. Hence, posts like this, should be a simple thing...

I do not know if they are the same as mine but there should be two silver relays attached under the lower dash, one is for the headlight delay and the one right of the colum is for the defrost timer/relay.

Default Do Ya Think...

...This could be a problem?

I traced the power back to the rear quarter as being good and was expecting to find broken wires between the body and hatch.

As far as I can tell this had to be deliberate. There is no way all these wires would have failed inside the body! For the life of me I don't know why someone would go to all the effort to get to the harness up above the headliner... (My EX has an Alibi)

I pulled the harness from the donor rig when I got the wiper motor but do you think that Jeep would use the same plugs on two vehicles in a row????
