Reliable Aftermarket CPS?
I’ve heard nothing but bad reviews of aftermarket Crank Position Sensors. All warnings are to avoid anything but Mopar.
Well, Mopar CPSs are on national backorder. None to be had. Mopar is not an option.
My symptoms point to the CPS as faulty.
This is the question: has anyone had good results from an aftermarket Crank Position Sensor in their XJ 4.0? If so, what brand?
Thanks for your relevant answer(s)!

Bought mine a while back from Autozone. Must be over 10 years ago, still kicking.
If I were to buy one now, I'd get either an NTK or Standard. Make sure you get the correct one regarding "high altitude".
My '88 has a mix of Standard and NTK sensors. My EGR, Knock and IAC are Standard. My O2 is an NTK. Recently passed CA smog.

Yes, I have a stock of them for most all years that I had made because the Mopar was going to be in short supply. So far it's been very successful. PM me if you have questions.

I have an NTK in mine, I heard they made/make the Mopar ones but I don't know if that's true. WVE would probably be fine too. RockAuto is most likely the cheapest place to order from.

Refreshed all grounds plus other stuff this past weekend. Still throws the code above 2K rpm at a standstill or around 60mph plus.
Gotta drive to Utah in a coupla weeks, I’m going to throw in an off brand CPS to see if that changes anything.

Your profile says 89 Renix so I assumed that was it.
Regardless, I think the brand "recommendations" still apply. As Spencer said, Rockauto has a good selection and decent prices if you can wait for shipping, or Cummins to see if he has one.
